"We are honored to serve as co-presidents and work with this new board and our dedicated volunteers to grow PRSA's Maryland chapter and ensure that it continues to serve as a resource and networking forum for Baltimore's public relations community," said Harrison and Davis, who previously was the chapter's president in 1998 and 1999.
Each year, PRSA-MD installs a new board of directors and pool of member volunteers that strives to organize and manage the chapter's programs and services targeted at its 300 members and peers.
"The leadership of this year's board will be invaluable, and we welcome each member's experience and guidance to help move our chapter forward," said Peggy Hoffman, CAE, the association manager for PRSA-MD. "As a volunteer-led organization, our members drive the chapter's programming and key services such as our mentoring program and outreach to student chapters. PRSA Maryland offers many small and larger ways to engage our volunteers and we invite PR pros to contact us and get involved."
PRSA-MD is one of 10 chapters in the mid-Atlantic district to be led by a local volunteer board. Electronic voting for the 2015 Board of Directors concluded on April 15.
