PS Food Mart and CITGO Bring Jobs to Williamston With New Store
Opening Weekend Deals to Celebrate New Gas Station and Convenience Store Managed by Local Resident
WILLIAMSTON, Mich., June 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- PS Food Mart Stores and CITGO Petroleum Corporation are proud to announce the opening of a new PS Food Mart store in Williamston, Mich. Located at 420 E. Grand River in Williamston, the station provides high quality fuels, great service, a range of food and beverages, and ongoing charity and community contributions to the local area. Managed by Williamston native, Mike Crittenden and backed by Michigan-based fuel supplier Folk Oil, the store also brings new jobs into Williamston.
"We are very excited to expand our footprint into Williamston and provide consumers with the high level of service and community involvement expected from PS Food Mart Stores," said Jim Linton, vice president with PS Food Mart. "This new location, like all PS Food Mart Stores, is designed with our customers in mind. Not only do we have great products and services, but local employees will also give back to Williamston charities through our PS Food Mart Charities fundraising programs."
Year round, the Williamston PS Food Mart CITGO will offer three dispensers of high quality CITGO fuel, including diesel, a convenience store stocked with products such as Java Peak Coffee, a Beer Cave with the coldest beer in town, Big Chill Zone fountain drinks, and clean bathrooms. Under the supervision of store manager Mike Crittenden, who was born and raised in Williamston, the five local employees will ensure the best experience possible for local residents whether they need a gallon of gas or a hot cup of coffee.
Throughout the year, the store will also participate in fundraising programs to raise money for Williamston Food Bank, Inc. and other local charities. PS Food Mart stores and CITGO have a history of supporting those in need. For example, in the first four months of 2011, PS Food Mart Stores raised more than $60,000 for food banks across Michigan and Ohio. While CITGO is the largest corporate supporter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association and assists families across the country, it also rewards local heroes who are doing good in their own communities through its Fueling Good program,
"I'm proud to be taking on the role of store manager in my home town because I will be serving my friends and neighbors. We have also brought new jobs into the community, which is more important now than ever before," said Mike Crittenden, manager of the Williamston PS Food Mart CITGO. "I grew up in Williamston and I am excited to be back working in such an outstanding community. I know the importance of value and quality and giving back. Those are the principles we will follow at this new PS Food Mart CITGO location."
