PTC Alliance Expands Cold Drawn Tubing Production Capabilities

WEXFORD, Pa., Jan. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- PTC Alliance Holdings Corp., a leading manufacturer and marketer of welded and cold drawn mechanical steel tubing and tubular shapes, fabricated parts, precision components and chrome-plated rod, said today that in response to increased domestic and international demand, it is investing an additional $4 million in its facilities to create an additional 30,000 tons of annual drawn-over-mandrel (DOM) capacity.

The Company said that over the past two years it has achieved a number of significant milestones, including:

1. Opening two previously idled facilities in Hopkinsville, KY and Chicago Heights, IL, providing the Company with four strategically located production centers;
2. Creating 423 jobs and increasing its headcount by 71 percent;
3. Investing $750,000 to refurbish a tube weld mill at its Chicago Heights facility. This capacity is expected to come on-stream over the next few months.

The increased capacity will be realized during the first half of 2012.
