
Public Invited to See Plug-In Vehicles First-Hand at Plug-In 2010 Public Night in San Jose
One-Night Event on July 27 Offers Insider's Look at a Plugged-In Transportation Future
SAN JOSE, Calif., July 13 /PRNewswire/ -- As major automakers announce plans to bring plug-in hybrid and electric vehicles to market, the public is invited to visit the Plug-In 2010 Conference & Exposition Public Night on July 27 to get a first-hand look at the latest plug-in technology innovations, including a variety of cleaner and greener cars that can lower fuel costs, greenhouse gas emissions and our dependence on oil.
Public Night will take place July 27 starting at 5:30 p.m. at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center, Hall 1 (150 W. San Carlos St., San Jose). Tickets can be purchased at the door for $10 per person. Here is the schedule:
- Exposition hall open: 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
- Vehicles scheduled for display (subject to change): the Chevrolet Volt, 2010 Ford Escape Hybrid, Mitsubishi i MiEV, Nissan LEAF, 2010 Prius Plug-In, smart fortwo electric drive, a range-extended electric chassis and more.
- Discussion on Plug-In Hybrid and Electric Vehicles: Getting the Message Out: 7:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m. - Panel members will discuss their adventures in crafting educational and entertaining messages about plug-in technology, and how the public can help shape a plugged-in future. Scheduled speakers:
