"At Pure Charity, we believe that every child has the right to a safe, secure, and permanent place to call home," said Mike Rusch, Chief Operating Officer for Pure Charity. "We have created a new platform that provides a convenient and free way for families to share their story in order to raise funds to cover the financial expense of providing a child a home through adoption."
The new platform is featured at www.purecharity.com/us/adoption/. Families who are in the process of adopting children can establish a personal fundraiser account at no charge, tell their adoption story through text and dynamic media, share that story with friends and family through their social networks and raise dollars to cover expenses. In addition, in many cases donations to assist with adoptions are tax deductible.
A unique feature to help with fundraising is the Rewards Network at Pure Charity that lets people shop on-line and have a percent of their purchases deposited directly into their Pure Charity account.
On the eve of Summit 9, Pure Charity is highlighting the story of Dave and Jenny Marrs of Bentonville, Arkansas who are in the process of adopting a child from the Democratic Republic of Congo. Their story at www.purecharity.com/marrsfamilyadoption is similar to thousands of couples who adopt children both domestically and abroad.
"We're touched by the outpouring of support and funding we've already received by sharing our story at Pure Charity," said Jenny Marrs. "The process of posting our video and photos on our family's Pure Charity fundraiser page was simple and we were able to seamlessly share with our social media networks. Our friends and family are now sharing it with their networks and the momentum continues to build. We are immensely grateful for this opportunity to raise funds to offset our adoption expenses."
"Caring for vulnerable children is tremendously important to us at Pure Charity and adoption is one of many ways to address this issue," added Rusch. "Through Pure Charity our community of donors can choose other ways to help through direct contributions to projects working on behalf of orphans and vulnerable children around the world."
