PureMatter Honored by American Advertising Federation Silicon Valley With Nine ADDY(R) Awards
SAN JOSE, Calif., March 9 /PRNewswire/ -- PureMatter was recently awarded nine ADDY® Awards by the American Advertising Federation Silicon Valley (AAF SV), including two ADDY trophies, at the annual event held on March 4th at the Marriott in downtown San Jose.
Among the awards were three Silver ADDY® Awards for Six Rivers Brewery Beer Labels, Tova Day Spa Website (www.tovadayspa.com) and PureMatter's own "Not-So-Grand-Opening" Party Campaign.
Four Bronze ADDY® Awards were earned for the Boy Scouts of Santa Clara County "Scout it Out" Social Media campaign, Sensiba San Filippo's Career Path Booklet, PureMatter's "Project Laugh" holiday video and signature "Office Survival Series" email, the "Heat Wave Survival Kit."
Most prestigious on the list of awards were two of the highly coveted ADDY® Statuettes for the San Jose Downtown Association "Come Find the Fun" ad campaign and "Historical to Historicool" Poster. The ADDY® Statuette is an accolade only given to the top 1% of the show's winners and are hand-picked by the judges.
This award-winning work comes from a talented team of creative, advertising and branding professionals who live the company motto of "serious fun" each day. "2009 was a challenging year for the advertising and marketing industry," said Bryan Kramer, PureMatter's president. "We are extremely honored to be recognized by our peers, and equally proud to be the 'go-to' agency for our clients who trust us to develop the kind of creative work that that not only gets awards, but gets tangible business results, at a time when helping clients to succeed is more important than ever. Receiving ADDY® Statuettes for our work for the San Jose Downtown Association is especially meaningful to us as they symbolize our vision of San Jose as a hotbed for creativity."
The local AAF-Silicon Valley show attracted almost 150 entries from local agencies and brands including Yahoo, Cisco and the San Jose Mercury News. The nine PureMatter awards were chosen by a distinguished panel of creative professionals, flown in from around the country to officiate the local show. The winners now advance to the District competition, competing against other winners from San Francisco, Oakland, Sacramento, Fresno and Reno, NV. Winners at the district level become national ADDY finalists and compete in the final leg of the competition, revealed at the AAF National Conference in June 2010.
On a national level, with over 60,000 entries annually, the ADDY Awards are the world's largest and arguably toughest advertising competition. The ADDY Awards represent the true spirit of creative excellence by recognizing all forms of advertising from media of all types, creative by all sizes and entrants of all levels. The American Advertising Federation, a not-for-profit industry association conducts the ADDY Awards through its 200 member advertising clubs and 15 districts. It is the only creative awards program administered by the advertising industry for the industry.
