Purpose Capital Dinner to be Hosted by Weatherhead School of Management
CLEVELAND, Oct. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Weatherhead School of Management is hosting a Jeffersonian Dinner on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014 at 6 pm designed to connect and engage Clevelanders committed to helping establish our city as a leader in our changing economy. A Jeffersonian Dinner is a structured dinner modeled after the approach Thomas Jefferson used while crafting our constitution.
Current trends towards more interpersonal connection, personal growth and service in our workplaces are signals of a significant shift in our economy that Aaron Hurst has identified as the coming Purpose Economy in his book by the same name.
The dinner will engage participants in a rich discussion about the dawn of the Purpose Economy – a transition from the Information Economy. This unique dinner is open to anyone interested in the integration of meaningful connection with others, steep personal growth, and greater purpose across all aspects of their lives, especially at work.
The Purpose Capital co-creators in Cleveland are working with Aaron Hurst, author of The Purpose Economy, to help other cities launch "cities of purpose" efforts modeled after what is being done in Cleveland. As a leader and role model in the Purpose Economy, Cleveland is becoming to the Purpose Economy what Silicon Valley is to the Information Age.
Tickets are available here and include:

"Aaron's book put our efforts to build a purpose rich culture at Fathom in context," said Scot Lowry, Fathom president and co-creator of Purpose Capital. "It is not just about creating an attractive culture for phenomenal people, it's about ensuring that we will be successful for the long haul as purpose-rich environments that maximize connection, growth and service will be table stakes for organizations that seek to thrive in the emerging Purpose Economy.
"As the economy shifts, purpose at work will go from nice-to-have, to must-have. We are grateful to be working with the other Purpose Capital co-creators including BVU – The Center for Non-Profit Excellence, Cleveland Social Venture Partners, Conscious Capitalism Cleveland Chapter, The Cleveland 20/30 Club, Imperative.com, and Engage!
