PwC Receives Two "Excellence in Management Consulting" Awards From the Association of Management Consulting Firms

NEW YORK, March 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- PwC today announced it has received two "Excellence in Management Consulting" awards from the Association of Management Consulting Firms (AMCF). This is the inaugural year for the AMCF Awards, which celebrates excellence in management consulting. The 2012 AMCF Awards spotlight the most innovative and effective consulting projects done over the past year, as chosen by an independent panel of judges.

PwC with Swiss Reinsurance Company Ltd (Swiss Re) won an award in the Human Capital category and PwC with North Shore - Long Island Jewish Health System (NSLIJ) won an award in the Technology Transformation category.

In the Human Capital category, PwC consultants worked closely with Swiss Re, one of the leading providers of reinsurance, insurance and other insurance-based forms of risk transfer, to design and implement 'F1' – a groundbreaking cultural and behavioural change programme across 33 offices in 21 countries.  F1 refreshed and clarified Finance's vision and strategy – along with the values and behaviours required to bring them to life on an everyday basis. F1 has led to both improved employee engagement scores and increased awareness of risk and control matters.

In the Technology Transformation category, PwC worked closely with NSLIJ, one of the largest healthcare provider networks in New York, to help them mobilize the Health-E Customer Experience initiative, activate a PMO and facilitate the enterprise design. Together PwC and NSLIJ created a rapid design curriculum customized to better serve Patients, address fundamental cultural challenges while simultaneously mobilizing the PMO to enable a quick launch of technical design to accommodate regulatory constraints. 

PwC also had two additional finalists in the Human Capital category (NetApp, Inc. and NorthBay Healthcare) and was named a finalist in the Transaction/Event-Driven category (CenturyLink, Inc.).
