DALLAS, Feb. 4, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The PX3 Patriots, an All-Veteran softball team sponsored by the PX3 Foundation, will play in four major events this year against celebrity teams representing select military foundations as part of its ongoing mission to raise funds for the PX3 "Support A Warrior Campaign."
The 2016 PX3 Patriots Series begins on Saturday, April 23rd, in Colorado Springs, CO, against the Danny Dietz Memorial Fund; and continues with games featuring The Boot Campaign in Nashville, TN; the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation in Dallas, TX and Marcus Luttrell's Team Never Quit in Houston, TX.
PX3 has many inspiring veterans on their team, including Mark "Oz" Geist and John "Tig" Tiegen, co-authors of 13 Hours, the book that inspired the new Paramount Pictures film 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi.
In October 2015, celebrities, athletes and combat veterans joined forces for the first PX3 Patriots Celebrity Softball National Series game in Houston, TX. Among the celebrities who participated were Willie Robertson from A&E's hit TV series "Duck Dynasty"; Olympic medalist Jennie Finch; 7 time – Cy Young Award winner Roger Clemens; U.S Navy Seal (Ret.) Marcus Luttrell, and actor Taylor Kitsch, who played the lead roles in Lone Survivor, Friday Night Lights, Battleship and the HBO series, True Detective. Click here for photo
