WASHINGTON, Sept. 26, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- How do you let an AAMCO service technician know the problem you are experiencing with your car if you don't attempt to vocalize the grumbling or grinding or clattering sound it makes? That is what makes Qorvis Communications' newest entertaining television spots for AAMCO so successful: AAMCO service diagnosticians know exactly what your verbal noises mean, no matter how amusing they may sound.
The 2011 "refresh spot" is the latest AAMCO ad that Qorvis, a powerhouse public relations firm in Washington, D.C., has created for the AAMCO "We Hear You" campaign. The campaign spots have resonated so effectively with consumers that they increased AAMCO's national sales by more than 5 percent in this recovering economy.
The newest spot takes customers' attempts to describe what is ailing their cars one step further by bringing back some of the original cast, as well as featuring a whole new pool of "noise-makers." Using humor while leveraging AAMCO's expertise and a dependable 50-year history, the campaign continues to drive new and repeat customers into AAMCO centers around the country.
As part of the growing Qorvis advertising portfolio, the firm has also created a highly targeted "Legend Reborn" print campaign to launch Huntington Ingalls Industries (a company recently spun off from Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding). The "Legend Reborn" ad differentiates Huntington Ingalls in the highly staid landscape. The ad generated incredible buzz within the industry and has propelled Qorvis to Agency of Record for Huntington Ingalls—a company we're proud to represent.
In addition Qorvis recently won three Telly Awards for its advertising campaign for Massey Energy. The campaign was developed as a bridge focused on communicating a strong message about the necessity of coal as a part of America's energy future. Qorvis recently became the Agency of Record for Alpha Natural Resources, which acquired Massey Energy in June of this year. To announce the acquisition and introduce Alpha Natural Resources to former Massey Energy employees Qorvis launched a television advertising campaign.
Qorvis has a large array of advertising clients ranging from local campaigns for Reston Hospital Center to national campaigns for the Virginia Lottery to public affairs campaigns for the Wireless Innovation Alliance. Over the years, Qorvis has won numerous accolades for client work, including 12 SABRE awards, one Webby award (mobile app of the year) and 11 ADDYs. The Holmes Report named Qorvis a 2009 "Best Agency to Work For" as well as "Public Affairs Agency of the Year." Qorvis was named a finalist for PRWeek's Midsize Agency of the Year two years in a row (2008 and 2009). Qorvis also won four 2009 Advertising Club of Metropolitan Washington ADDYs for television advertising, and recently won a National PRSA Award of Excellence.
