Starting on October 17, Qrio, Inc. is seeking funding for Qrio Smart Lock through Indiegogo, a crowdfunding website (https://igg.me/at/qriosmartlock). On this opportunity, we will also debut Qrio Smart Lock in the U.S.

Qrio started out as a joint venture between WiL, LLC., a venture capital based in Silicon Valley, and Sony Corporation, Japan's leading electronics manufacturer. Our first product, Qrio Smart Lock, was designed, developed and manufactured by Sony and has been sold by Qrio.
Although smart locks are not new to the U.S. market, Qrio Smart Lock's unique design allows easy installation by anybody, with no need to remove the existing door lock. It is already available in Japan, increasingly used and trusted, as the most popular smart lock in the country. Specifically for the smart lock, Sony's know-how was generously poured into its mechanical design and electronic security.
We are seeking crowdfunding through Indiegogo to make Qrio Smart Lock ready for its U.S. debut in the following aspects:
- Additional attachments that make it work with locks commonly used in the U.S.
- Attaining official endorsement from the U.S. government
- Enabling remote access through the Internet by introducing a dedicated peripheral device (Qrio Hub)
