DALLAS, April 21, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Academy Award Nominee and Golden Globe winning actor Bruce Davison will be honored with a special tribute and retrospective prior to the Texas Premiere of his new feature film "Displacement" this Saturday, April 23rd, 7:00 p.m., at the Angelika Film Center Dallas. The film also stars Plano native Courtney Hope ("The Divergent Series: Allegiant") who's been getting critical raves the past week with the release of her hit new Microsoft Studios / Remedy Entertainment video game/TV series "Quantum Break", along with Golden Globe winner Susan Blakely (who last appeared together with Davison in the film, "Hate Crime"), Sarah Douglas ("Superman" 1 & 2) and Christopher Backus ("Underground").
"Displacement" is an independent time-travel thriller from Writer-Director Kenneth Mader, who was recently named one of the "Top 100 Indie Filmmakers in the World" in the recent book by Action On Film's Del Weston. The film won Best Science Fiction Film and Best Supporting Actor for Mr. Davison in the Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival and the Chrononaut Time Travel Award in the Boston Science Fiction Festival, and was an Official Selection in the recent Phoenix Film Festival. Mr. Mader will be in attendance at the screening and tribute, along with Mr. Davison, Ms. Hope, and producer Zander Villayne.
Hope will be interviewed on Fox 4 News' "Good Day - Live" in Dallas this Friday morning to talk about "Displacement" and "Quantum Break."
