Quantum Retail Names Steven Buege as Chief Executive Officer

MINNEAPOLIS, Jan. 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Quantum Retail Technology, Inc., an innovative supply chain management and merchandise optimization provider, today announced the appointment of Steven M. Buege as Chief Executive Officer of the company.

Buege is an accomplished senior executive with a successful record of leading global technology-based businesses, driving revenue and profit growth, strategy development and implementation, and overall execution and scalability. He has more than 25 years experience in software, professional services, and online content including senior executive positions with large publicly held companies, fast-growing private equity portfolio companies, and as an independent management consultant.

Prior to joining Quantum, Buege served as Executive Vice President of Operations and Chief Technology Officer at Ascend Learning, a leading provider of online education services. From 2006 to 2010, Buege was President and Chief Executive Officer for Elite, a global business unit within the $13 billion Thomson Reuters Corporation, which provides enterprise software and services to top law firms around the world. Before that he held several other executive posts throughout Thomson Reuters including President and Chief Executive Officer of the Business Intelligence Services unit, and Chief Technology Officer of the $3.5 billion global legal division.
