Colorado bedding company wins big in Los Angeles
DENVER, June 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- QuickZip, a Colorado, women-owned company won the Capital Championship, a nationwide entrepreneur competition. QuickZip competed against nine other finalists in Los Angeles to win $250,000. The tournament, sponsored by Blue Ocean Enterprises and OtterBox, strengthens the startup community by offering exposure, networking, mentorship, and cash to emerging entrepreneurs.
QuickZip won the grand prize for its reinvented fitted sheet, which stays securely on the mattress and makes changing and folding sheets quick and easy. The company's revolutionary improvements to a product consumers use every day, and its wide market utility, helped QuickZip rise to the top. QuickZip is a patented two-piece fitted sheet with a base that stays on the mattress and a sheet that zips off and on in seconds. The company started with crib sheets and now offers sheets for all bed sizes.
