QuitCash Challenge™ Encourages Minnesotans to Quit Tobacco and Win $5,000
QUITPLAN® Services' quit-and-win contest registration starts on Kick Butts Day
MINNEAPOLIS, March 18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Tobacco users around the state looking for an incentive to quit are encouraged to enter QUITPLAN Services' QuitCash Challenge, a quit-and-win contest that gives Minnesota smokers an incentive to quit by offering a $5,000 prize. The cash will be awarded to one Minnesotan who quits tobacco use by May 1, 2015, and remains tobacco-free for the entire month of May. Minnesota tobacco users 18 years of age or older are eligible to sign up for the QuitCash Challenge at www.quitcash.com.
Registration for the contest begins on March 18, which is the 20th annual national Kick Butts Day, encouraging everyone to take a stand against Big Tobacco. This is the seventh QuitCash Challenge from QUITPLAN Services. The first contest was held in 2008 and the most recent challenge had more than 3,600 registrants, including participants from every county in Minnesota.

How the QuitCash Challenge works:
Participants must successfully quit smoking by May 1, 2015, and remain tobacco-free for at least the month of May in order to be eligible for the $5,000 prize. A random drawing of all the eligible month-long contest registrants is used to select the $5,000 prize winner and the winner is required to verify their tobacco-free status through a biochemical test.
