Rabobank to Host First New York Leadership Roundtable

Event to Focus on Logistics and Transportation

NEW YORK, July 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Rabobank Group, a global financial services leader providing wholesale and retail banking, leasing, and real estate services in more than 40 countries, will host its first-ever Leadership Roundtable on logistics and transportation on Thursday, July 2 at the Dream Downtown Hotel in New York.

This first Leadership Roundtable will be one of many events hosted by Rabobank to foster direct dialogue between clients and experts about some of the industry's most pressing strategic issues. Details for the event are provided below:

Joining the event as participants will be Dr. Yossi Sheffi, Director of the MIT Center for Transportation & Logistics and Michael Beresford, Director of Caravel Shipping USA, Inc. Mr. John Lanigan will also attend, an executive who served as COO at Schneider National, Inc., the largest truckload motor carrier group in the US, and as CMO with BNSF Railway Company. Mr. Lanigan currently serves as Dean of the School of Business at Baldwin Wallace University.  

In addition to these industry experts, several members of Rabobank senior management and supply chain and logistics leaders will also be in attendance. Bank participants include the following:

  • Rajiv Singh, CEO of Rabobank North America Wholesale, leads the bank's corporate and institutional client activities in the U.S., Canada and Mexico, which include corporate banking, mergers and acquisitions, specialized products, food and agribusiness research, and capital markets activities, as well as all operational and support functions. Singh also chairs the executive management team for the North American Wholesale business.
  • Jan (J.L.) van Nieuwenhuizen, joined Rabobank in 2009 and has served as a member of the Rabobank Executive Board since 2014. He is responsible for the bank's Dutch and international wholesale banking activities.
  • Tjard Westbroek, as Global Sector Head of Supply Chain, is responsible for creating structural client coverage in a new sector within Rabobank's food and agriculture focus.
  • A.M. (Lex) Kloosterman, Senior Executive Vice President for Rabobank, is a member of the Wholesale, Rural & Retail Management team and is responsible for the bank's global corporate clients coverage.
