Racing Prodigy Brody Willett Launches National Ambassador Program For Macaroni Kid; Deepened Relationship Kicks Off with Macaroni Kid NASCAR Sweepstakes on July 7
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa, June 30, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Brody Willett Racing (BWR) and Macaroni Kid, an online newsletter that reports weekly on family-friendly events in local communities nationwide, recently announced that they have reached an agreement for the racing prodigy to become the newsletter's first National Ambassador.
"We believe that Brody and his racing followers embody everything Macaroni Kid stands for, namely terrific family fun that's exciting to attend and appealing to kids and adults of all ages," said Macaroni Kid co-founder and CEO Joyce Shulman. "Also, we hope that Brody's phenomenal success will motivate other youngsters and teens to pursue their dreams."
Brody, who began racing go-karts as a five-year-old, boasts 180 victories over the past eight years, including the Maxxis National Championship in 2010 and three IKF National Championships. In 2014, at the age of 12, Brody was the youngest driver ever to win a feature race at the Hawkeye Downs Speedway in Cedar Rapids.
When asked about the sport and his success, Brody told KCRG-TV, "It's definitely something I've wanted to do for a while because my dad used to race Modifieds out here. So this definitely is a lot of fun, and it's something I would like to do for the rest of my life."
That type of understated confidence is what led Macaroni Kid to become a Brody Willett Racing (www.brodywillett.com) sponsor in 2014. "People love Brody," said Shulman. "He's a great role model for kids of any age, and his popularity is bringing families to race tracks around the country to cheer him on. That's why we felt he would be the perfect ambassador for the Macaroni Kid (www.national.macaronikid.com) brand."
To kick off the newly deepened relationship, Macaroni Kid announced a national sweepstakes, awarding one of its subscriber families with airfare and hotel accommodations for the Federated Auto Parts 400 NASCAR race on September 12, 2015. The winner will receive a VIP behind-the-scenes race experience and meet NASCAR driver Michael Annett. "Our families love racing and we do too, so what better way to celebrate both than with this exciting sweepstakes," Shulman explained.
The Race Weekend sweepstakes will run from July 7 to August 7, 2015 through Macaroni Kid's national newsletter. For details, go to http://national.macaronikid.com/article/1008574/announcing-1st-macaroni-kid-ambassador-big-race-weekend-sweepstakes
