Radial Expands Fulfillment Center Footprint in Rialto California, Plans to Bring on 2,359 Workers

RIALTO, Calif., Oct. 22, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Radial, a bpost group company, today announced an expansion of its fulfillment footprint in Rialto, California, along with its plan to bring on an additional 2,359 workers to support the increased demand during the upcoming holiday season. The company has completed the addition of a new facility to the Rialto campus, officially increasing its cumulative size to 1,125,555 square feet. Driven by increased client demand, the expansion of the Rialto facility acknowledges the company's growth trajectory and recent momentum in helping major brands and retailers meet their ecommerce and omnichannel goals. To successfully staff this growing warehouse footprint, Radial has scaled up seasonal hiring efforts in Rialto to effectively address holiday season needs for top retail brands.  

Consumers are dramatically increasing their online spending, with a recent study from Radial finding the number of U.S. shoppers who reported purchasing at least $100 of goods per month online jumped this year to 59.8 percent. Given the rise of ecommerce, there are now well over one million warehouse workers fulfilling online orders in the U.S., according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Job opportunity in this sector has skyrocketed, with an eighty seven percent increase in available jobs since 2009 and a five percent increase from 2018 levels.
