Radically Easier Dental Floss That Freshens Breath Patented

The U.S. Patent & Trademark Office yesterday issued Patent 10,206,765 on a redefinition of dental floss by the sole inventor Leonard Lorch. Lorch was formerly responsible for U.S. Patent 4,776,358, a continuation-in-part of his U.S. Patent Application Number 06/910,733 that was filed on 9.23.1986, which was the world's first filed patent that specified, for the new purpose of a flossing substrate, expanded PTFE (ePTFE) fiber commercially available under the trademark GORE-TEX and, originally as a "weaving fiber," manufactured by W. L. Gore & Associates. Many readers will recognize ePTFE flosses glide between teeth because that's what Procter & Gamble's leading ORAL-B GLIDE flosses do that are so popular nowadays.

Whoever said that substantially improving on regular string dental floss is boring, not fun or not likely to be more rewarding than discovering that floss can glide between teeth for miles of smiles.
