MIDLOTHIAN, Va., Feb. 27, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Rainbow Station, a nationally recognized leader in early childhood education and care for mildly ill children, with four other locations in the Richmond area, brings its accredited program to Charter Colony and will host a grand opening celebration on Saturday, March 4th.
The event, from 10 am to 2 pm, celebrates the completion of the beautiful train station themed 13,000 square foot preschool building and over 9,000 square foot afterschool recreation facility. The Campus includes a Get Well Place infirmary (opening soon), four large, age-specific playgrounds (over 37,000 square feet), a dining car, where ages 2 and older eat all meals family style, and a chef's kitchen.
Rainbow Station schools seek accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (www.naeyc.org) and AdvancedED (www.advanc-ed.org). As a premier provider of early education, the Charter Colony school has begun the accreditation process.
Rainbow Station's vision is to be the Standard of Excellence in early education, school age recreation, and mildly ill care. With a mission to empower each child to be his or her best self, Rainbow Station's curriculum blends teacher-directed and child-initiated activities and is based on standards of learning infused with developmentally appropriate technology, cooperative learning, critical thinking, and leadership lessons. Rainbow Station not only helps children build skills for success in school, but also for life.
Like the other Richmond locations, Rainbow Station at Charter Colony will offer Camp Blue Sky and The Get Well Place. Camp Blue Sky is a full-day summer camp which includes age-appropriate programming for all ages enrolled. Parents can enroll their children for a fun-filled summer of active play, with educational undertones, for the full summer--without having to piece together care. The Get Well Place, staffed by a full time nurse, provides parents a place for their mildly ill children when they must work.
The grand opening celebration on March 4th gives the community an opportunity to tour the school and meet the teachers and administrators.
"Our offer is unique. We are thrilled to bring this level of family support to the Midlothian area," says Nicole Eubanks-Lambert, Owner, who also owns Rainbow Station at Wydham.
