
Rainmaker Sweeps West Virginia ADDY Competition, Again
Charleston Firm Captures 21 ADDY Awards
CHARLESTON, W.Va., Feb. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Rainmaker Media Group ( www.thinkrainmaker.com ), a full-service advertising agency and political consulting firm located in Charleston, West Virginia, won Best of Show at the West Virginia Advertising Federation's annual ADDY Awards Ceremony on Friday, February 19th, 2010. The Judge's Choice Award was also given to Rainmaker for the agency's work on Energize WV's Soft Footprint Campaign.
Rainmaker won more ADDYs than all other agencies in the state, for the second consecutive year, taking home a total of 21, including eleven Gold, eight Silver, Judge's Choice, and Best of Show. Rainmaker was honored with six Gold and four Silver ADDYs for Energize West Virginia; five Gold for West Virginia Wesleyan; one Silver for Williams Law Office stationery; one Silver for Oso Sweet Photography; one Silver for the Putman School Bond logo; and one silver for Rainmaker Media Group stationery.
Several other West Virginia creative agencies won awards, including Bulldog Creative Services, Blackwell and Co., Charles Ryan Associates, the Arnold Agency, The Manahan Group, Ignite Studio, and the West Virginia Department of Commerce.
The ADDY Awards Ceremony celebrated its 50th Anniversary luau-style at the Charleston House, and was sponsored by the West Virginia Advertising Federation. Gold winners from the local competition will be forwarded on to the regional ADDY competition, held in Charleston during mid-March, to compete against firms in West Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky.
The ADDY Awards is the world's largest advertising competition with over 50,000 entries annually. The ADDYs recognize creative excellence in all forms of advertising from media of all types to creative by agencies of all sizes. It is the only creative awards program administered by the advertising industry for the advertising industry.
