EUGENE, Ore., Aug. 28, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Rave Reviews, the innovative ranking site that creates entertaining write-ups using advanced data-driven analysis, has published its list of 30 Small Town Treasures to Visit in the Texas Hill Country.
In the towering shadow of Austin and San Antonio live a network of small towns that make up the Texas Hill Country. Whether you are a native Texan or just passing through the area, the Texas Hill Country is bursting with unique places, ready to be explored.
"Dotted along the hills, plains, and winding country roads are small towns with plenty of personality and Texas pride, ready to welcome visitors in," Taylor Barnes, the editor of Rave Reviews, said. "Texas Hill Country towns are proud of their heritage and history and love to share a piece of who they are."
The selection process for Rave Reviews' list of 30 Small Town Treasures to Visit in the Texas Hill Country was based on triangulated data, controlled to exclude Austin and San Antonio (because they are not small towns), from lists and reputable travel journalism at Southern Living, Wide Open Country, Texas Monthly, Texas Hill Country.com, National Geographic, and the New York Times. The ranking took four data points into account: Nostalgia, based on folklore and history; Popularity, based on quantity of visitors; Nature, based on natural scenic beauty; and Food and Fun, based on culinary and entertainment value.
The list of 30 Small Town Treasures to Visit in the Texas Hill Country lists Luckenbach Dance Hall in first, Enchanted Rock State Natural Area in second, and Main Street (Hauptstrasse) in Fredericksburg in third.
