JACKSONVILLE, Fla., April 25, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Raven Transport Holding Inc. (Raven) has been named Carrier of the Year for 2016 by Nestlé Purina PetCare Company for their Allentown, Pa facility.
Utilizing a drop-trailer program, Raven picks up and delivers between six and eight full truckloads per day, containing products such as dog food, for Nestlé's Allentown facility with payloads reaching up to 48,000 pounds. Allentown is one of four Nestle Purina plants that Raven handles outbound transportation for.
As a leader in alternative fuels, Raven often utilizes its LNG-fueled trucks to deliver Nestle's freight between Allentown, Pa. to markets in Florida, Virginia and North Carolina seven days a week. Liquefied natural gas (LNG) is the smart choice for Raven as it's clean and abundant.
Raven has been doing business with Nestlé's Allentown facility since 2014 and has developed an efficient and flawless communication system that has allowed for steady and continued growth.
"We sincerely appreciate this honor from one of our valued customers, Nestlé Purina PetCare Company, as a trusted transportation partner. Our success has been built on quality service, dedication, professionalism and our ability to tailor logistics to our customers' specific needs that allows us to develop solid, long-term relationships with our customers," said Stephen Silverman, Raven Transport Holding Inc. COO.
