RB Appoints SymphonyIRI Group (SIG) in US to Supply Retail Audit and Panel Data; Keeps Nielsen Elsewhere in the World
PARSIPPANY, N.J., June 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Consumer goods giant Reckitt Benckiser (RB) plc, a world leader in household, health and personal care (with U.S. headquarters in Parsippany, NJ) and parent of Clearasil, Lysol, Woolite and other iconic brands, announced today that it has appointed Chicago based market research company SymphonyIRI Group (SIG) in the US to supply both retail audit and panel data to their business. The Nielsen Company who previously supplied these services remains a key global partner to RB who works with Nielsen across the world in many important areas. RB has appointed SymphonyIRI Group to enable it to explore some new innovations which will come with the fresh approaches and challenges offered by a new partner.

The contract with SymphonyIRI Group (SIG) is for a period of 4 years and will then be reviewed.
RB does not disclose its level of investment in market research globally or by country, but as one of the world's largest consumer goods giants it is many millions of dollars.
