Reach to Show New Touch Screen Products at the Embedded Systems Conference
Products powered by the new SLCD5+ serial LCD controller board offer improved boot time, and more memory to handle images, macros, and fonts.
FREMONT, Calif., April 27, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Reach Technology Inc. (www.reachtech.com), will show seven new products at the Embedded Systems Conference in San Jose, CA, May 3-5, 2011 in booth 1245.
NEW: SLCD5+ Serial Embedded LCD Controller Board
SLCD5+ allows customers to quickly incorporate SVGA (800×600) color touch screens up to 12.1-inches into their products. It boasts a faster processor for improved boot time, and has more memory to handle images, macros, and fonts. Large panels and high pixel density allow more controls to be visible at the same time, which is important for many medical and industrial embedded LCD touch screen applications.
"We created the SLCD5+ when medical and industrial customers started asking for larger screens with high resolutions," said Jonathan More, President for Reach Technology. "SLCD5+ now powers a new 5.7" VGA module, a new 7" wide viewing angle module, and updates our standard 7" and 8.4" modules."
The SLCD5+ shares form factor and mounting with the existing SLCD5 embedded controller board, has standard embedded LCD panel connectors, sports a 266MHz 32 bit ARM9 processor, and offers wide voltage operation (5-12V). It drives a variety of backlight inverters, has a 64MB RAM memory and 32MB flash memory, with a SD memory card slot for storage and upgrades. It provides ESD protection for the embedded touch screen. Get additional specifications and download software and hardware manuals for more details.
