Realtor.com Partners With Habitat For Humanity To Revitalize A Neighborhood In Need

CAMPBELL, Calif., Oct. 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Supporting many Americans' dreams of home ownership, Realtor.com, a leader in online real estate, today announced the launch of the Building Hope Challenge and is donating $50,000 to benefit BUiLD by Habitat for Humanity. The BUiLD movement aims to create a world where everyone has a decent place to live and advances Habitat for Humanity's mission of bringing people together to build homes, communities and hope. Realtor.com is a strong advocate of Habitat's mission and is dedicated to making a difference in a deserving community.  

While some people get involved in Habitat for Humanity by working on home-building sites, through BUiLD, volunteers can also participate via social media, purchase a BUiLD product, participate in a corporate-sponsored initiative, or spread the word to friends. During the Realtor.com Building Hope Challenge, participants will be able to nominate a state to receive a portion of the donation and, in doing so, be eligible for weekly prize drawings.

The Challenge promotion is easy to enter. Participants visit: www.realtor.com/challenge, enter their e-mail address and select their state of choice.  Participants can nominate a state once per day, and can share the promotion with friends via e-mail, Facebook and other social media.

The state with the most nominations per capita at the end of the Challenge will win, and a rehabilitation project of a local Habitat for Humanity affiliate in that state will be chosen to receive the designated portion of the Realtor.com donation. Participants may also donate directly to Habitat for Humanity.
