Newly Merged Associations Continue to Raise the Bar with Achievements & Milestones
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., Aug. 22, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Realtors® Association of the Palm Beaches (RAPB) and Greater Fort Lauderdale Realtors® (GFLR) were recently honored by the WAV Group with the first "WAVes of Change" Award. The award was created by the leading real estate business and communications consulting firm to honor those that have made bold new moves to create positive waves of change in the industry.

The WAVes of Change Award honors those that have taken gutsy, innovative steps to create exciting new approaches, solved fundamental challenges or created exciting new opportunities for real estate consumers, agents, brokers or the industry as a whole.

The merging of the RAPB+GFLR creates the third largest association of its kind in the United States and a rare opportunity for the Realtors® in Palm Beach, Broward and St. Lucie Counties to have the best in class representing over 28,000 Association members and 30,000 MLS subscribers. The merged association's multiple listing services will carry more than 40,000 on-market listings, totaling over $21 billion in inventory. This creates both a single source for homebuyers and greater exposure for sellers throughout the Southeast coast of Florida. The company will become one of the ten largest MLSs in the United States.
The association has since achieved further strides as an industry leader, with accomplishments that include providing members the opportunity to choose between two premier MLS systems, FBS/FlexMLS and Corelogic/Matrix. The organization has already begun aggressively mapping (matching) data fields between the two platforms to ensure unified, seamless experiences in both systems. The association provides brokers and agents complimentary IDX feeds to power their websites with listing content that spans the entire southeast Florida coast.
