The award was presented by Jim Runk — the outgoing TAEC national chair, and president and chief executive officer of the Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association — at the TAEC Annual Meeting held July 17-21 in Bedford Springs, Pennsylvania.
"I can think of no one in this industry who deserves the honor more than Rebecca Brewster, because she epitomizes the work ethic of J.R. 'Bob' Halladay and has made outstanding contributions to assist and support the work and efforts of the state tucking associations. She has also demonstrated a special acknowledgement of the important role state trucking associations play in the ATA Federation," said Runk.
"I am humbled to be recognized with such a prestigious award. I consider working with the state trucking associations one of the great privileges of my career," said Brewster.
Ms. Brewster has been with ATRI and its predecessor the ATA Foundation since 1993 and was named ATRI president in 2002.
ATRI is the trucking industry's 501(c)(3) not-for-profit research organization. It is engaged in critical research relating to freight transportation's essential role in maintaining a safe, secure and efficient transportation system.
