Red Bull Radio Premieres First-Ever Collaboration Between Musical Guests NOIA And Ela Minus
Track featured on Tune-Yards' new episode of C.L.A.W. for female-identifying artists
SANTA MONICA, Calif., Sept. 11, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Red Bull Radio premieres a new episode of Tune-Yards presents: C.L.A.W. (Collaborative Legions of Artful Womxn), a monthly radio show hosted by Merrill Garbus of Tune-Yards. In this episode, listeners will experience the world premiere of Catcall, the first-ever collaboration between musical guests, Ela Minus and NOIA.
On Tune-Yards presents: C.L.A.W. (Collaborative Legions of Artful Womxn), host indie radical, Merrill Garbus AKA Tune-Yards, not only cherry-picks brand new tracks by female identifying producers, instrumentalists and vocalists, but also pairs two performers to collaborate for an exclusive world premiere.
This month, listeners will hear from NOIA, the experiential electronic solo project from music producer Gisela Fulla-Silvestre, and learn what inspired the producer to create such an original sound. Gisela works with film and producing electronic music that incorporates traces of dancehall, tropicalia, leftfield R&B and experimental sound design.
Listeners will also hear musician Ela Minus share her passion for performing live music in order to create unique experiences. Ela Minus' music incorporates her percussion background, using hardware synthesizers, sequencers and samplers without a laptop. She improvises most of her set, creating a different experience each and every time.
Merril Garbus first began creating her homemade tracks back in 2006, using a voice recorder and looping devices to construct her unusual combination of ukulele, percussion, and her booming soulful voice. Her self-released LP BiRd-BrAiNs struck a chord with fans and bloggers alike, and 4AD picked up on Tune-Yards' raw and honest music. Soon she was teaming up with bassist Nate Brenner, projecting her mixture of global folk rhythms, indie pop sensibilities and heartfelt politics into a widescreen, yet concise voice. Merrill brings this same soulful and collaborative mentality to each episode, creating an original sound with each and every guest.

ABOUT NOIA
NOIA is the solo project of music producer Gisela Fulla-Silvestre. Born and raised in Barcelona, Gisela is the only daughter of her activist and intellectual parents. After finishing a degree in sound design at Berklee, she now resides in NY working with film and producing electronic music that incorporates traces of Dancehall, Tropicalia, leftfield R&B and experimental sound design.
ABOUT ELA MINUS
Hailing from Bogotá, Colombia, musician Gabriela Jimeno, known as Ela Minus, grew up in two parallel underground musical worlds, hardcore and electronic music. Her live show relies heavily on her musicianship, specifically her percussion background. Ela Minus performs everything live with hardware synthesizers, sequencers and samplers. sans laptop. Apart from playing the songs on her EP's, she improvises most of her set, making it a different experience every time proving to be the catalyst of the project's momentum in many ways.
