CHICAGO, Aug. 30, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Red Bull Sound Select announced that its premiere event will be moving to Chicago. Red Bull Sound Select Presents: 30 Days in Chicago will take place throughout November 2017. Now in its fourth year, the month-long music festival will feature 70+ can't-miss artists in venues throughout Chicago, exclusive to Red Bull Sound Select members. Tickets go on sale at 10 am CDT on September 6th.
Red Bull Sound Select Presents: 30 Days in Chicago events feature carefully crafted lineups with noteworthy headliners including Young Thug, Migos, Kehlani, Lil Yachty, Mitski, Ibeyi, Whitney, Khalid, Parquet Courts and more, while showcasing the best in emerging music supported by Red Bull Sound Select on each bill including Kweku Collins, Charlotte Day Wilson, Xavier Omär, Pell, Ravyn Lenae, Tennyson, Smino and more. The festival has proven unique by spotlighting rising artists, exposing fans to future superstars while exploring exciting and diverse venues. In keeping with tradition the 30-day festival will be punctuated with surprise collaborations and special guests throughout the month.
New this year, Red Bull Sound Select Presents: 30 Days in Chicago will be celebrating two special anniversaries of two of its Chicago curators. On November 15th, Red Bull Sound Select will present Parquet Courts as part of Empty Bottle's 25th year-long anniversary programming. This seminal Chicago venue has played host to diverse and genre-spanning musical acts both from the local scene and national touring acts, establishing itself as an integral part of the city's cultural fabric. On November 4th, Red Bull Sound Select will host a very special 10th Anniversary Celebration of Fake Shore Drive. The Chicago based hip-hop blog has been an integral part of the scene as an early champion of artists such as Chance the Rapper, Chief Keef, Mick Jenkins, Lil Durk and Vic Mensa. In 2013 founder Andrew Barber joined Red Bull Sound Select as a curator for the Midwest, helping to elevate the careers of up and coming acts. For its 10th Anniversary, Barber has invited some of Fake Shore Drive's closest friends including DJ's, Rappers and some unannounced guests.
Red Bull Sound Select Presents: 30 Days in Chicago showcases emerging artists who have been curated into the Red Bull Sound Select program, an accelerator for music artists, by leading music influencers from around the world, including Innovative Leisure in Los Angeles, Laneway Festival in Australia and Fake Shore Drive in Chicago. The artist development program is currently in 22 cities around the world.
