Red Gold Tomatoes Launches "Food Brings People Together" Campaign
New campaign celebrates bringing people together through food and tradition
ELWOOD, Ind., Nov. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Today Red Gold Tomatoes, an Indiana based, fourth-generation, family-owned and operated company announces an integrated marketing campaign celebrating how food brings people together.
This campaign highlights the important role that food plays with families, with friends, with celebrating and with making memories. "Food prepared at home is one of the most powerful ways we can show love for others," says Selita Reichart, who along with her husband Brian and two sons Beau and Colt, owns and operates Red Gold. "Food brings us together, starts conversations, and renews bonds among us. This new campaign shows the importance of making personal connections through food, as well as highlighting the important role of knowing where the tomatoes are grown, how the tomatoes are grown, and who grows them!"
Red Gold works with more than 50 family farms across Indiana, Ohio and Michigan to grow enough tomatoes to make the brand's premium tomato products. In fact, some of these families have been growing Red Gold tomatoes for several generations. Red Gold wants people to know these farmers as well, which is why the company is sharing its family farm stories through this campaign.

This campaign is largely focused on TV and social media, and will launch with a new 30-second television spot, that is airing in 15 markets across the country. It centers on the timeless premise that food is central to our trusted and valued relationships. Viewers can hear Selita lending her voice to the spot and even appearing in the ad with her youngest son, Colt. "As both a woman and a mom, I know how difficult it can be to balance a job, take care of your family, and put food on the table that you can feel good about," says Reichart.
As part of the campaign, there is also a new web site featuring a new, easy-to-search database of recipes and even more background on the Red Gold family farmers, including beautiful photo galleries of the growers and their families. The campaign also includes banner advertising, content marketing partnerships, blogger outreach and social media.
