redIT Leverages ITIL Framework to Complete SSAE 16 Compliance Audit with Zero Exceptions
- Achievement reflects company's dedication to complying with internationally-recognized standards -
SAN DIEGO, April 3, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- redIT, the emerging leader in secure, customizable private cloud and data center services, recently completed its Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) 16 audit with zero operational exceptions.
The process utilizes a widely accepted, internationally recognized in-depth auditing standard that reviews control objectives and activities for service providers, and is an enhancement to the previous SAS 70 standard. redIT's most recent audit was conducted by Crowe Horwath, and its prior two SAS 70 audits were also completed with no exceptions.
"At redIT, we take great care and are fully committed to receiving independent, third-party verification of our systems' efficacy and performance," said Matt Stamper, Vice President of Security and Managed Services at redIT. "Our history of operational excellence, as evidenced by our regionally unmatched uptime record, leverages the best practice guidance of ITIL and the strong governance discipline necessitated by the SSAE 16 audit process."
While many companies with sensitive data struggle to adequately meet compliance standards such as HIPAA/HITECH and PCI in-house, redIT delivers secure, cost-effective solutions that help its clients achieve compliance. The company's full suite of security services was purpose built to address many of the regulatory and compliance challenges companies face.
"There are several key criteria that we measure potential partners against before we choose them to handle our clients' data," said Linda Rose, CPA, President and CEO of Rose Business Solutions, a prominent provider of business solutions to emerging mid-market companies who recently selected redIT after an extensive RFP to replace an existing provider. "One of those is that they maintain consistently high, independently verifiable security and performance levels for their systems. redIT regularly meets or exceeds these high benchmarks, and it's why we've recently put our trust in them."
While compliance is important, these standards are often reliant on a data center's ability to maintain a nearly perfect service level, consistently providing uninterrupted service to clients. In the wake of recent outages at other data centers in the region, redIT celebrated nearly seven years without outages at any of its facilities, demonstrating its dedication to providing clients with the most reliable, efficient, and compliance-centric data centers in the region.
