Reed Exhibitions Alcantara Machado's New Leadership in Latin America to Diversify Growth
The arrival of a new President for the Brazil operation and a new position focused on diversifying business assets in LATAM further evidence the company's commitment to the Region
SAO PAULO, June 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Reed Exhibitions, Brazil and the world's leading events organizer, today announces that Fernando Fischer takes on the role as President of the Brazil operation, at the same time that Juan Pablo De Vera, the outgoing President, takes over the new strategic position in the Region as Senior Vice-President of Business Development for Latin America, both reporting to Herve Sedky, President at Reed Exhibitions Americas (RX Americas).
The new leadership set up in the Region is a result of the company's investments in a growth strategy based on diversification of business assets and implementation of hybrid business models successfully executed in larger and mature markets such as the United States. Brazil is one of our most important markets for long-term growth and development among the 40 of Reed Exhibitions worldwide markets. "The evolution of the worldwide tradeshow business to an evolving landscape full of new possibilities, combined with Brazil's current challenging environment demand a flexible and multi-faceted way of doing business. Our proven business model includes diversifying income sources and, most importantly, enhancing high-level value to clients in terms of business generation, return on investments and brand equity." said Herve Sedky, President at RX Americas.
Prior to joining Reed Exhibitions, Fernando Fischer held several CEO positions in private and public Brazilian companies in many different sectors, in addition to building two successful startups. Fernando Fischer will drive Reed Exhibitions Alcantara Machado's strategy in Brazil focusing on support to industries and customers, portfolio diversification, development of strong tradeshow brands and innovative approaches, such as enhancing the expertise in match-making through digital tools.
With 19 years at the company, Juan Pablo De Vera as the Senior Vice-President of Business Development for Latin America will be responsible for proactively driving new revenue and growth opportunities for RX Americas' Latin American Region, including M&A. Brazil will be a pilot for the Americas business with this unprecedented position to find new creative ways to implement brand activations, as well as innovating strategic partnership models to add continued value to clients and industries.
"I am more than pleased to have such talented leaders for such vital positions in Latin America," said Herve Sedky. "Juan Pablo's decades of experience and recognition throughout the tradeshow industry and his terrific results leading the business in Brazil perfectly matches Fernando's approach as a talent leader and client-driven and innovative solutions and brands builder." adds Herve.
Despite the current economic conditions, Reed continues to invest in growth in Brazil and Latin America. Since the acquisition of Alcantara Machado in 2007, the company has invested more than R$ 377 million in the country and its fairs generated over R$ 3 billion in business results for exhibitors last year.
