AUSTIN, Texas, April 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- On March 27, 2015, the Texas Supreme Court affirmed Coursetrends' summary judgment win over a former employee, ending a four-year dispute with a complete victory in favor of Reed & Scardino's client.
Founded in 2003, Coursetrends is an Austin, Texas-based company that is the leader in developing and implementing online golf course marketing plans. A former employee sued Coursetrends arguing he was owed hundreds of thousands of dollars in unpaid bonuses, alleging fraud, breach of contract and seeking exemplary damages. Coursetrends argued, and the Court agreed, that all causes of action were meritless. The Travis County District Court granted summary judgment in favor of Coursetrends and entered a take-nothing judgment against the former employee. The summary judgment was upheld on appeal over a number of challenges at the Third Court of Appeals in Austin and again at the Texas Supreme Court.
