Unlike other math intervention programs, Accelerated Math for Intervention combines comprehensive professional development and technology teachers need to create an environment where students take more responsibility for their own learning and success. Renaissance coaches and professional development consultants work with educators using the Accelerated Math for Intervention program to provide a smooth startup, training, and implementation experience. The coaches then provide ongoing training over the course of a year, helping with software use, data interpretation, and monitoring the effectiveness of the intervention.
Accelerated Math for Intervention utilizes research-proven software for diagnostic assessment, personalized practice, and progress monitoring, to align with the goals of RTI. Accelerated Math, STAR Math, and MathFacts in a Flash comprise the most comprehensive, least expensive, and easiest tools to administer for any Response to Intervention strategy. The software components in Accelerated Math Intervention have been highly rated by the National Center for Response to Intervention (NCRTI). The software is powered by the Renaissance Place Real Time platform, which allows educators to centralize all of the school's Renaissance Learning software and student progress data into a single, convenient, web-based management system.
"Accelerated Math for Intervention is the ideal research based solution for schools focusing on their Response to Intervention frameworks for math," said Steve Schmidt, President and Chief Operating Officer of Renaissance Learning. "This dynamic intervention solution designed specifically for Tier 2 intervention levels and above combines our best-in-class math software with the in-depth professional development educators need for effective math intervention. Schools that have participated in the pilot program have already shown substantial improvements in student math skills and have seen a difference in student attitudes and motivation as well."
Accelerated Math for Intervention will be available in July 2010. For more information about Accelerated Math for Intervention, visit www.renlearn.com/ami.
