Renny DiPentima, Respected Government and Industry Leader, Appointed to ASI Government Board of Directors

ARLINGTON, Va., April 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- ASI Government (ASI), public sector consultants specializing in acquisition, program management, and strategy and organizational performance solutions, announced today the appointment of Renato (Renny) DiPentima to ASI's Board of Directors. Dr. DiPentima is the former President, Chief Executive Officer, and Board Director of SRA International. He currently serves on several governmental and corporate boards, including a leading private equity firm where he advises on investments in the government services sector.

Dr. DiPentima has over 40 years' experience in the public and private sectors. Prior to joining SRA in July, 1995, he was the Social Security Administration's (SSA's) CIO and Deputy Commissioner for Systems, responsible for overseeing and managing all of SSA's information processing and data and voice communication systems. Dr. DiPentima served on numerous task forces and commissions, including as Chairman of the Federal Information Technology Acquisition Improvement Team, as part of the President's National Performance Review initiatives.

Dr. DiPentima has been honored with numerous awards, among them, two Presidential Rank awards (Distinguished and Meritorious Service), AFFIRM Industry Executive of the Year, Federal Computer Week's top 100 IT Executive and Eagle Award, the Azimuth Award (Industry Executive of the Year) by the Federal Government CIO Council and Post Newsweek Tech Media, and the ACT-IAC Janice K. Mendenhall Spirit of Leadership Award.

Dr. DiPentima earned a B.A. from New York University, an M.A. from George Washington University, a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, and completed the Program for Senior Managers at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
