RESPRO Annual Conference to Focus on Affiliated Business 'Best Practices' and the Wall Street Reform Act
WASHINGTON, Feb. 16, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Real Estate Services Providers Council (RESPRO)'s 17th Annual Conference to be held March 7-8, 2011 in Las Vegas, Nevada will feature the nation's most successful affiliated business executives and leading real estate/mortgage lawyers in sessions on affiliated business "best practices" and on the latest regulatory developments under the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA) and the 2010 Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform Act.
The Conference's Opening General Session will kick off on March 7 with an interactive discussion among RESPRO attendees that will highlight innovative ideas they have developed over the last year to enhance the consumer satisfaction rates and cost efficiencies of their affiliated businesses. In a keynote presentation, "The Value Proposition of Affiliated Businesses in Today's Housing Market," Williston Financial Group (WFG) President & CEO Patrick Stone will share his perspective on the outlook for the housing market in the near term and how companies serving the home buyer can utilize their affiliated businesses to maximize their revenues and ensure their long-term success.
The Wall Street Reform Act's impact on real estate brokerage, mortgage, and title/settlement service companies will be the focus of numerous regulatory compliance sessions throughout the Conference. The Act transfers RESPA and Truth in Lending Act (TILA) regulation and enforcement to a new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau in 2011 and imposes numerous new regulatory requirements on companies that offer diversified services to home buyers and home owners.
The RESPRO Annual Conference will conclude on March 8 with a joint General Session with Leading Real Estate Companies of the World (LeadingRE) that will feature economist Todd Buchholtz, author of "Market Shock: 9 Economic and Social Upheavals that Will Shake Our Financial Future" and one of Successful Meetings Magazine's "21 Top Speakers for the 21st Century." Buchholtz will provide his perspective on how to thrive in a challenging economy while gearing up for future prosperity.
