Restoration Efforts Underway at Hilton Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH, Aug. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Exterior renovations have resumed at Hilton Pittsburgh, the city's largest and most recognizable hotel.  

This second stage of the project will transform the property's slim-lined appearance with a dramatic wave-like exterior facade that pays tribute to the city's Three Rivers.

Located at the gateway to Pittsburgh' s internationally famous Golden Triangle, the hotel's striking gold aluminum will also be refreshed and the Grand Staircase connecting the Lobby and Ballroom levels will be installed.

In addition, exterior windows have been replaced, the Main Lobby's marble floor is being refurbished, and carpeting at the property's main entrance is being replaced with beautiful stonework.

These Phase Two improvements will complement the gorgeous comfort and elegance of Hilton Pittsburgh's newly renovated guest rooms.  Phase One featured a $30 million interior renovation that gutted every floor to completely update the rooms, HVAC & plumbing. Now all 712 beautifully appointed guest rooms provide greater comfort, style and convenience along with breathtaking views of the city's skyscape or Three Rivers.

In addition to its physical changes, the property has also welcomed new leadership.  On Wednesday, Prism Hotels and Resorts, a full-service hotel management and hotel receivership company, was appointed to oversee day-to-day hotel operations.  A longstanding partner with Hilton Worldwide, Prism manages many assets across numerous brands within the Hilton family.
