Retail Dietitians Business Alliance Launches Retail Dietitian Of The Year Award

SANTA MONICA, Calif., Feb. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Retail Dietitians Business Alliance (RDBA) today announced, it's accepting nominations for its' first Retail Dietitian of the Year Award.  This award recognizes a retail dietitian who shows leadership in utilizing business skills and industry knowledge to positively impact consumer behavior change through the retail sector.  

The RDBA serves as the professional group to the more than 400 retail registered dietitians throughout the US that most often work in supermarkets helping customers and employees with food and nutrition issues and leveraging nutrition to positively impact customer loyalty and sales of better for you products.

People can nominate themselves or a colleague at http://www.retaildietitians.com/2014award/.  The deadline for nominations is March 15, 2014 at midnight. The winner will be presented with the RDBA Steuben crystal award at the FMI Connect show in Chicago on June 11, 2014 at 10:30am on the main stage on the show floor. The winner also will receive travel, hotel accommodations and FMI Connect show registration.

The RDBA Advisory Board and Executive Committee will review all applications and determine the award winner.  

Launched more than one year ago, the RDBA is the first to offer a retail business education programs for registered dietitians that helps these professionals better understand the business of retail including trends, merchandising, working with suppliers and more. In addition to online and in-person training at key events, RDBA offers opportunities through its newsletter, website, and special events for the community of retailers and dietitians to share information.
