Retail Solutions Continues its Global Expansion with New India-Based Partnership and Subsidiary Office

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. and PUNE, India, Jan. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Retail Solutions Inc. (RSi), a global provider of cloud-based, Big Data analytics and real-time intelligence for the consumer-products industry, today announced the formation of a new subsidiary being formed in Pune, India. The company will go by the name RSi Retail Solutions India Pvt. Ltd., and will be led by Managing Director Narayan Menon reporting to David Sun, General Manager of RSi's APAC division.

RSi also announced today that it has entered into a major outsourcing agreement with Cybage Software Pvt. Ltd., a well-respected product engineering and IT services company with 200 active customers, five global development centers and organic five-year growth of 15 percent.  Cybage Software will assist with product development efforts managed by the RSi subsidiary. 

"Three years ago, RSi set a strategic growth plan to build our global presence, establish a footing in emerging markets, and recruit talent in the burgeoning field of Big Data to better serve our customer base," said Peter Rieman, COO of RSi.  "The APAC region is critical to this plan and the Cybage partnership will enable RSi to have the immediate development capabilities needed to realize our international vision."

RSi's presence in India will enable the company to better sell, market and support its client base of more than 500 leading Consumer Products Goods (CPG) companies around the world.  Focused on product development efforts and support for RSi's Global Data Management initiatives which includes the collection, cleansing, harmonization, enrichment and loading of retailer POS and inventory data delivered to manufacturers daily across all time zones, RSi India will ensure the APAC region is well serviced.

David Sun will lead the APAC group as Managing Director.  Mr. Sun has been with RSi for 10 years, most recently as the Managing Director for China.  Under Mr. Sun's leadership, RSi China has experienced stellar growth over the last four years. This exceptional track record will be brought to his new position, helping lead the India-based team into a fast-growth mode that spans internal organization excellence to the deep penetration of the local market.
