CHANTILLY, Va., June 27, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- TASC, Inc. has named retired Navy Vice Adm. Thomas J. Kilcline Jr. vice president of its newly formed Naval Programs unit. Kilcline joins TASC after a distinguished, 30-year career as a naval officer and aviator.

In this role, Kilcline will lead TASC's new Naval Programs operating unit in charge of operations in San Diego, Virginia Beach, VA, Washington, DC, and Charleston, SC.
From 2004 to 2006 Kilcline served as commander of Naval Air Forces, leading the Navy's aviation force of 100,000 personnel, 11 nuclear aircraft carriers and 2,800 Navy aircraft. He also served with the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations as director of Naval Warfare Integration and Assessment and director of Air Warfare. Since his retirement from the Navy in 2010, Kilcline has worked as a consultant in the aerospace industry.
Kilcline earned a BS in operations research from the U.S. Naval Academy and a master's in systems management from the University of Southern California. He also earned master's degrees in foreign affairs at the Naval War College and in national security strategy at the National War College.
