'Return on Execution' Portfolio Shows SuccessFactors Customers Outperform NASDAQ, DOW and S&P 500

New Research Report Highlights Link Between Execution and Financial Results

SAN FRANCISCO, May 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Today, at SuccessConnect 2010, SuccessFactors, Inc. (Nasdaq: SFSF) released a new research report that explores the performance of SuccessFactors' "Return on Execution Portfolio" (SF ROX) and finds that its customers significantly outperform the market across NASDAQ, DOW and S&P 500.

In the study, "SF ROX: Investing in Execution Pays Dividends," SuccessFactors conducts a close analysis of its "Return on Execution Portfolio," which consists of public SuccessFactors customers across 14 industries, and finds that users of SuccessFactors Business Execution (BizX) Suite were almost three times more likely to capitalize strongly on the economic downturn that began in the fall of 2008. Previous SuccessFactors research has demonstrated that business results accrued from Business Execution Software grow over time and with strategic, ubiquitous usage. For this reason, the ROX portfolio consists of customers with heavy usage of the suite, with over half of total employees using at least three SuccessFactors software modules for at least three full quarters.

The new study reports on financial results between 10/1/2008 and 4/14/2010. During this period, the S&P 500 increased 4 percent, DOW 3 percent and NASDAQ with 21 percent, while the SF ROX portfolio increased 31 percent. In addition, companies in SF ROX were 2.8 times more likely to have strongly outperformed the market by gaining more than 65 percent. These results indicate that aligning strategy and execution, enabled by the SuccessFactors Business Execution Suite, was critical for companies to capitalize on the financial crisis.
