Revere Takes Boston to New Heights
Revere Hotel Boston Common opened with a vertical fashion show via a 24-story catwalk on the anniversary of Paul Revere's infamous ride
BOSTON, April 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Revere Hotel Boston Common, the city's newest independent, luxury boutique hotel, officially launched on April 18th, 2012, with a vertical fashion show featuring climbers from Boston Rock Gym walking down the side of its 24-story facade. Inspired by Boston's revolutionary spirit, Revere celebrated its opening on the 237-year anniversary of Paul Revere's infamous ride through the streets of Boston at the commencement of the Revolutionary War.

Revere's vertical fashion show featured hotel uniforms designed by students at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. This unique partnership marks the college's first collaboration with a hotel and allowed the students to develop pieces that meet the stylish needs and operational challenges of the property's doormen, valet, front desk staff, cocktail servers, and other positions at the property.
In an appropriate nod to Boston's historic roots, the presentation also featured Spring/Summer 2012 looks from UK designer label and global lifestyle brand, Ted Baker London, whose Newbury Street location also pays homage to Boston's rich history by drawing whimsical inspiration from the Boston Tea Party at their "retail theater."
Climbers from Boston Rock Gym served as the show's "models" as they relied on high-tech rappelling rope and form-fitting body harnesses to strut their stuff "Geneva-style" (face-forward) down a 24-story "runway" wearing both the MassArt-designed uniforms and Ted Baker London looks.
Bostonians were able to witness this incredible spectacle from street level with unobstructed visibility surrounding the Revere property.
The hotel will pay tribute to the year that revolutionary event took place by offering a special introductory rate of $177.50, until May 31, 2012. Reservations for the "Revolutionary Rate" must be made by calling the hotel directly, referencing promo code REV775.
Revere breathes new life into the spaces formally inhabited by The Radisson and Stuart Street Playhouse, located on 200 Stuart Street, in the heart of Boston's vibrant Theatre District. Located in the center of the city, the hotel offers 325 guest rooms, 30 deluxe suites, one presidential suite and 35,000 square feet of dynamic, innovative function space. Revere guest rooms combine high style with superb comfort complemented by oversized balconies that offer commanding views of the city skyline and the historic South End neighborhood.
Later this month, the property will also debut: an exciting nightlife concept (the Emerald Lounge); a presentation, live entertainment and film venue (Theatre 1); and, a versatile, multipurpose setting for events (Space 57). This harmonious balance of convenience and luxury is complimented by intuitive and personalized service in a welcoming and comfortable environment. Equal parts style, character and class, Revere will play a leading role in the development of Boston's "new history."
