Reversing the Common Pattern, Hardcover Book Is Published After Paperback and e-books

MILFORD, Conn., Nov. 30, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Sales of hardcover books have been falling as e-book sales have been growing -- but the hardcover is not dead yet. "Stories I'd tell My Children (but maybe not until they're adults)" was initially published as a paperback, and then in multiple e-book formats. Because of reader requests for a version for gift-giving, the book will be available on December 1, 2011 as a hardcover with a full-color dust jacket.

Published by Silver Sands Books, it includes more than 100 stories that span 55 years: pre-school, in school, and after the author had enough school. Some stories were written as delayed revenge against bad teachers, evil bosses and crazy clients. There are stories about weird relatives, weird food, women the author considered marrying -- and the woman he did marry.

"Stories" has been called "mostly pants-wetting funny, sometimes poignant and profound, and often bawdy." The Midwest Book Review awarded "Stories" five stars and said it is "a thoughtful and fun read; highly recommended."
