Revolution Expands Jones-Keystone Discovery: Intersects 104.0 meters averaging 1.27 g/t Au, including 40.0m of 2.33 g/t Au at Champion Hills Project, North Carolina
VANCOUVER, April 13 /PRNewswire/ - Revolution Resources Corp. (TSX: RV) ("Revolution" or the "Company") is pleased to announce drill results from the historic Jones-Keystone mine located at its Champion Hills Project in the Carolina Slate Belt, North Carolina. The gold bearing structure remains open for expansion along strike in both directions and at depth, with a significant gold mineralized system now confirmed.
Drilling is currently underway on the Company's Silver Hill, Silver Valley and Hoover Hill historic mines on the Champion Hills trend.
Drill hole JK11-17 encountered 104.0 meters averaging 1.27 g/t Au with a higher grade interval of 40.0 meters averaging 2.33 g/t Au. This hole is located on the northeast end of the main structure at Jones-Keystone, which has been traced through drilling along 750 meters of strike length. This structural area is covered by numerous shallow open pit mine workings and located along the same structural corridor as the Loflin Prospect, located 2,700 meters to the west. Recently announced initial drill results from Loflin include: 70.0 meters averaging 1.10 g/t Au and 30.0 meters averaging 2.59 g/t Au (See RV News Release January 6th, 2011).
Gold mineralization at Jones-Keystone is hosted within andesitic metavolcanic rocks, typically with strong pyrite, pyrrhotite and arsenopyrite mineralization. Gold prospects and historic mines along the trend are likely hosted along synvolcanic structures that strike east-northeast. The gold-bearing structure is still open along strike in both directions and at depth. JK11-28 is a 75.0 meter step-out along strike to the northeast of JK11-17, and intercepted 12.0 meters of 0.94 g/t Au. 750 meters along strike to the southwest, the furthest drill holes were JK11-26 and 27; these holes returned 26.0 meters of 0.96 g/t Au and 24.0 meters of 0.84 g/t Au respectively.
The 5,000 meter, 25 hole Phase II drilling program focused exclusively on Jones-Keystone. Results from the initial holes at the Loflin and Jones-Keystone confirm a significant gold mineralized system with geological similarities to mines and deposits in the Carolina Slate Belt; including Romarco Minerals' Haile Mine. Assays are currently pending for two additional holes at Loflin, and one hole at Jones-Keystone. Additionally, Revolution is completing an extensive soil geochemical sampling program and geological mapping throughout the trend.

About the Champion Hills Project
The Champion Hills Property is comprised of multiple historic pits and workings within a 25 kilometer long trend in North Carolina. The Project occurs within the Carolina Slate Belt, which hosts most of the major gold mines in the southeastern U.S. Significant deposits include the Ridgeway Mine, which produced 1.5 million ounces of gold from 1988 to 1999, and Romarco's Haile Mine project. The Champion Hills project is geologically analogous to these deposits, whereby gold mineralization is hosted within quartz-sericite-pyrite altered volcanic rocks, associated with northeast trending shear zones.
Minimal modern exploration has occurred in the Carolina Slate Belt, generally due to previous complex land tenure. Gold was discovered in the Champion Hills in the early 1800's, with small scale production from many small operations. Mining continued in the area through the 1930's depression era. Information on the Champion Hills trend can be viewed on the Company's website at www.revolutionresourcescorp.com.
