REDWOOD SHORES, Calif., Nov. 3, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- RevStream Inc., the leading software for Enterprise Revenue Lifecycle Management (ERLM), announces the newest release in their R4 product series, R4.1.7.3. This release unveils several key features that continue to make RevStream the most advanced revenue recognition automation software on the market.
R4.1.7.3 supports a comprehensive Deferred Revenue Management (DRM) workbench. DRM allows for the booking of revenue and expense deferrals based on billing, events, or the execution of a contract with a customer. It provides support for key activities in the period-close process by establishing deferred balances with unbilled revenue adjustments and short-term/long-term reclassification.
"With DRM, we have further recognized the distinct paths between deferred revenue and earned revenue, providing our customers with unprecedented visibility into deferred revenue for management and disclosure reporting," says Mark Aubin, Vice President of Product Strategy.
The workbench includes flexible design to give customers the ability to setup timing of deferral creation, determined by types of offering. Together with its unbilled and foreign currency true-ups, short and long-term deferral reclassifications, the enhanced DRM adds new light onto a once opaque figure on the balance sheet.
Other key feature updates include enhancements to revenue journal accounting, foreign currency translations for inbound transactions, advanced reporting with drill down capabilities and new, valuable bookings and revenue dashboards. The new dashboards will give users at sign-in a quick snapshot of the most telling activities and results like bookings and revenue key performance indicators, trends, growth rates, distributions and more.
Another notable enhancement is RevStream's new cloud offering via Amazon Web Service's (AWS), which is widely recognized as the leading cloud services provider with the most secure, scalable and dependable cloud service in the market. Although RevStream's cloud offering has been available since 2004, the move to AWS will further yield benefits for customers and RevStream alike.
"The move to AWS will give our customers more deployment options–multi-tenant or single-tenant–more flexible resources for scaling, and high reliability confidence," says Kai Wong, Senior Director of Presales.
With the release of R4.1.7.3, RevStream is ready to assist companies in the adoption of ASC 606 – the new global revenue standards. With proven features like multiple reporting methods and post contract adjustments, RevStream remains at the forefront of revenue automation solutions, ahead of major ERP vendors.
