RGF Environmental Group Acquires AFL Industries

RIVIERA BEACH, Fla., Sept. 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- RGF Environmental Group, Inc. (RGF) announced today it has finalized an agreement with Martino Industries, Inc. (Martino) to acquire all of the assets of AFL Industries (AFL).

AFL Industries, also based in Riviera Beach, is a manufacturer of high-quality, in-ground, prefabricated oil/water separators and other specialty wastewater treatment equipment. AFL engineers, designs and distributes its patented VTC separators, oil stop valves, safety sumps and rotary pipe oil skimmers into all utility, transportation and food processing industries as well as military bases around the world.

Ron Fink, President/CEO of RGF also announced that all of AFL's sales, engineering, accounting and customer service/plant personnel will come onboard with similar positions at RGF, while continuing to maintain the AFL website, phone and fax numbers providing uninterrupted service to their customers. The acquisition will be fully integrated into RGF's current 100,000-square-foot operations facility located at 1101 West 13^th Street, Riviera Beach, FL.

Fink said the strategic acquisition will help RGF broaden its current industrial wastewater treatment systems and solutions and also provide greater opportunities with RGF's safety product lines with large food processing customers.

Martino Industries d/b/a AFL Industries was founded by June Martino of Palm Beach, Florida.  The former secretary/bookkeeper to McDonald's founder Ray Kroc, Martino used part of her 10% share of McDonald's stock to purchase AFL, moving it from Chicago to Riviera Beach in 1979.  Her son, Joel Martino, has run the company since that time.
