Rhoads & Sinon Packages New York Times Best-Selling Book "Amish Confidential"
HARRISBURG, Pa., May 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Rhoads & Sinon LLP partner Todd Shill is pleased to announce that "Lebanon" Levi Stoltzfus, star of the hit Discovery Channel reality show "Amish Mafia," made the New York Times best-seller list with "Amish Confidential" his sizzling tell-all about Amish life today.
Rhoads & Sinon has represented Stoltzfus along with other cast members in negotiations with the Hot Snakes Media/Discovery Channel, and Shill and partner Kevin Gold began packaging the book deal on behalf of Stoltzfus in early 2014.
"It is great news for Levi, obviously, to break the New York Times best-seller list. Kevin and I are thrilled to be a part of the project," said Shill. "We are working on a handful of other opportunities as well and we're confident Levi's success will continue to grow."
Shill noted that Stoltzfus will be making an appearance at the Camp Hill Barnes & Noble at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, to sign copies of the book, and he will appear on the Dr. Phil show on May 13.
Stoltzfus is just one of several mid-state clients who have become a part of Rhoads & Sinon's growing Entertainment & Sports practice group. Shill represents Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia's Sarah Baicker and negotiated Baicker's deal to be one of four co-anchors on the new Breakfast on Broad show, which airs from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. daily in central Pennsylvania on The Comcast Network. Shill also represents Chris Franklin, a member of the Harlem Globetrotters and Harrisburg native.
Shill, a co-founder of the practice group, has acted as Production Attorney for independent films and regularly counsels both United States and international entertainment clients. He has appeared on Dateline NBC and has successfully negotiated and reviewed contracts with entertainment companies such as Fox, the Sundance Film Channel, FuseTV, NBC/Universal and Cumulus Media.
"This is a great industry and there are a lot of very talented people and entrepreneurs in this space right here in central Pennsylvania," Shill said. "It's challenging but very rewarding to be able to help a client negotiate a book deal or an anchor spot on a major network. We're confident that there's a lot more creative talent in our region and we're looking forward to helping the next star or entrepreneur break out."
