FORTE-DE-FRANCE, Martinique, March 6, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- In celebration of the brand's second bi-annual global cocktail competition, Clément Ti' Punch Cup, Rhum Clément, is proud to host bartenders from 14 countries in Martinique, among which include: The United States, Germany, China, and England.

Since being founded in 1887, Rhum Clément has conveyed the beauty and unique qualities of Martinique through its portfolio of world-class rhum agricole. The Ti' Punch Cup is parallel to the brand's mission and commemorates the island's signature cocktail: Ti' Punch!

Throughout 2017, bartenders from all over the world have shown great creativity and have added their personal flare to the iconic classic cocktail of the French Caribbean. Each regional competition rewarded the creator of the best contemporary Ti' Punch cocktail, determined by a local panel of judges, the opportunity to visit Martinique and discover the world of Rhum Clément!

From March 12^th to March 16^th the winners from each country's national Ti' Punch Cup will visit Martinique to discover Rhum Clement, as well as to compete in the Grande finale of the 2018 Ti' Punch Cup to determine who will take home one of the more treasured trophies in the world of cocktails and bartending.

The Ti' Punch Cup finale will take place March 14^th at Habitation Clément in front of an international jury made up of some of the most notable members of the global spirits industry. Candidates will be challenged in three rounds. Contestants will be judged on their signature cocktail, their knowledge of rhum agricole, and the integration of Martinique's heritage into the cocktail.

The grand winner of the 2018 Ti' Punch Cup will become a new ambassador of the Ti' Punch and will hold the Ti' Punch Cup trophy in their bar, made by one of GAAM's artists (Group of Artisans Martinique Art)
