Richard Birch Promoted to General Manager of Dubai Autodrome

- Birch takes over the helm at Dubai's premier motorsport facility
- Hamish Brown departs after ten years as General Executive of the venue
Dubai Autodrome management announced on 25 April 2013 the appointment of Richard Birch to the post of General Manager of the Dubai motorsport venue, in place of Hamish Brown who left the company at the end of April 2013.

Track owners Union Properties said in a statement, sent on behalf of Dubai Autodrome Chairman Ali Al Fardan, "Dubai Autodrome management is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr. Richard Clive Birch as the new General Manager."

Brown, who is undertaking consulting and project work from his new base in France, has been with Dubai Autodrome since 2003 and as General Executive of the venue oversaw the start of the construction phase through to hosting the first international racing event in September of 2004. Since then he has been instrumental in establishing and growing the facility as a business, a motorsport venue and a leisure hub in the heart of Motorcity, the Union Properties development surrounding Dubai Autodrome.
